Sikh student detained by Secret Service
So you can be detained for five to seven hours simply because you are taking pictures of a public building. Oh, wait, you also have to be brown and look like “one of dem foriners.” The real terrorists here are the racists in law enforcement who feel that people with brown skin are minutes from blow up something.
A similar thing happened in Seattle recently to a dark-skinned (and I assume caucasian) man. See

And by the way, when is the Secret Service (and other law enforcement agencies) going to learn that Sikh is not Islam, and its very easy to tell Sikhs from Arabs?
Yeah, I bloged Ian Spiers a couple of weeks ago. Spiers is the son of an Irish immigrant and a African-American, so yes he is clearly not Arab or Muslim.
Also Arabs were considered to be cacasian, when ethnographers were still splitting mankind into races.
