Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino called Aqua Teen Hunger Force “a failing show” earlier in the week, continuing to dig himself deeper into his stupid hole.
The signs were a promotion for Cartoon Network TV show ”Aqua Teen Hunger Force,”
Yesterday, Menino promised to sue Turner Broadcasting Co., the Cartoon Network’s parent company, and criminally prosecute Berdovsky and anyone else responsible for the devices, and to petition the FCC to pull the network’s license.
“This is outrageous activity to get publicity for a failing show,” said Menino.
A failing show? A failing show? Menino needs to talk to his college interns. ATHF is far from failing. In fact, on March 23rd, Adult Swim is going to release its first movie: Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theatres. Take that Boston.
If Menino had any sense about advertising, then he would have noticed by now that the “scary” lite-brites had nothing to identify the show if you weren’t already familiar with it. That is hardly the type of advertisement that one uses to publicize a failing show.
